anyone that wants to contribute to this site on a semi-regualar to regular basis, just let me know. i'm taking applications for about the next week or two. don't worry if you have differing opinions from me, i'll still consider you.

Satan is a pepsi ball

Satan is a pepsi ball. who knew?

run ricky run!

ricky is in trouble for smoking weed. he says he didn't, the nfl says he did. why do all my favorite players get in trouble?

graduation

erik is graduating from tech, "Yeah and just a shade under a decade. All right."

i thought i ws there a long time, but e bested my ability to drag feet.

holy? i don't see no jesus up there

cut to the chase, amoung others has an article describing the defacing of holy relics in iraq by us troops. from political commentary by marc rios:

United States forces fighting in the holy Shiite city of Najaf have damaged the shrine of Ali. This is extremely significant: imagine being a Catholic and finding that some nation had damaged St. Peter's Basilica. The damage is only four bullet holes, but the symbolism is very very serious.

wow. there is no respect for the religion of iraq being shown is there?

nick berg planned it!

or so the right is spinning it. it's so simple: have an link to an al qaeda. move to iraq. get your buddies to cut your head off. get your dad to spread "lies" about bush. it is so simple. thank you chris regan for explaining it to me!

the right is silly

"Despite all of George Bush's troubles, the Kerry campaign can't seem to get any traction" glenn reynolds

considering he's is running at a dead heat with bush, what does that say about the president?

he goes on to say that jimmy carter's presidency was not a high point in american history. not like g.w. bush!

Armed Forces Day

is today. let's pay our respects to the good soldiers, they are sullied by the bad.

the buck stops somewhere else

this is great atricle i found via bush lies. it's really amazing how bush is never at fault. ever.

these pigs will fly

doesn't this seem like overkill? couldn't they get a cheaper car and crank up the rpms?

official iraq policy?

apparently america has decided to both leave and not leave if asked on july 1st. i wonder how that works?

troy

i loved the scope of this movie. it looked great, but the music killed the mood every chance i got. good preformances all around, but bana steals the show. isn't helen supposed to be beautiful? it worked overall. oscar will be making a call for special effects, maybe even a supporting nod.

A-

TITLES!!!!

now it will be easier to track my thoughts!

COMMENTS BACK ON TRACK

i've been having problems with blogspot's new comment system, so i went back to haloscan. i hope this pleases all my loyal minions.

HOMERS: BONDS V. GIANTS

bonds goes 1-2 with three walks, 2 IBB. and the giants lose. again. a.j. hits one out and pushes the team lead to 14 over barry. bonds is frustrated at losing, and who could blame him?

LOOKING AROUND THE BLOGS

i have been reading many random blogs and i'm blown away with how poor the grammar is overall. for shame

MORE MOORE FOR MIRIMAX

mirimax will buy moore's new film, but will have to find someone else to distribute it. this is crazy. what is also crazy is disney's position that this has been blown out of proportion.

CLINTON TO THE RESCUE?

scarborough thinks bush could use clinton to fix the mess in the middle east. maybe if we had a president that didn't screw things up so bad we wouldn't have to turn to other, better, presidents to make things right.

FRUM SAID IT

arabs amoral. never mind the racism, he makes points with false info to prop up bad arguments. on an aside, flavia colgan is pretty cute.

FRUM IS RIGHT ON ONE POINT

moron david frum commented that this war (iraq) was forced on us. i say yes it was. we have to realize who forced it on whom, though? i'd say bush. frum says terrorists.

I GUESS I'M NOT PART OF SCARBOROUGH COUNTRY

this nut agreed with a nut calling to hate people we disagree with. i thought that we were the country that wanted to help people. last time i checked, the god we have to pledge to was the christian god. i'm pretty sure jesus wouldn't want want us hating people. i guess i'm not a good enough person to see the logic in hate.

HOMERS: BONDS V. GIANTS

three other giants go deep, including schmidt and feliz twice

bonds was also kept off the basepaths for the first time this season, spawning a new watch: the barry off base watch.

VELVET REVOLVER

i wounder what e thinks about these guys?

WOW

oh the things you can learn that make this president look worse and worse. we had a shot at killing the man behind the nick berg killing two years ago, but passed to set up for the war on iraq. would bombing a known terrorist have pushed back bush's war plan at all? wow.

HOMERS: BONDS V. GIANTS

they have almost doubled him up. feliz goes deep to widen the gap between the rest of the giants and bonds. could it be bonds will walk 300 times and only homer 30 times? the way the giants are hitting? yes, that could very well happen.

KEEP THAT BUCK AWAY FROM ME!

is it me, or has bush never done a single thing wrong? how is it that the leader of the military is always the last to know? if the aren't telling him things, why not fire his advisors? this president is really a joke.

KERRY ON KICKING OUT RUMSFELD

kerry suggests among others mccain. i say make him kerry's vp.

WHY NOT RATED "R" FOR DRIVING CARS?

cars kill a lot of people, too. congress is looking to label any movie with smoking as an R rated movie.

T'WOLVES

i remember a week ago when they had spent all their energy against denver and would be done versus the kings. they should have told kevin garnett that.

THEIR HEART WAS IN THE RIGHT PLACE, BUT THE WALLET WINS THE DAY

idiots write about sports has a story about the university of iwoa pretending to care about the plight of native americans. too bad they couldn't really make a stand. maybe texas tech should take a stand, seeing as we won't have to weasel out of our policy due to conference schedules.

REPERCUTIONS FROM RADICALS FOR IRAQI PRISONER ABUSE

this is the real problem that those u.s. troops have created. they have given ammunition to the radical groups that claim we are worse than dictators like saddam. i hope we can eliminate these elements without abusing others. we need to create some sort of good faith in the middle east, and then get out of there.

i am just sad that nick berg, a bit player in this sick ballet, died for being an american.

a quick aside: why don't we try contracting jobs to all the iraqis that don't hate us instead of bringing in americans?

HIGHLANDER

i was channel surfing today and caught the theme song to "highlander". that has to be the worst theme song ever and in the top five worst of all time. i never saw the show and never will thanks to that song.

US GUILTY OF WAR CRIMES?

here are two articles of the geneva convention that woudl tend to lead me to say yes.

PART III
CAPTIVITY
SECTION I BEGINNING OF CAPTIVITY

ARTICLE 17
...No physical or mental torture, nor any other form of coercion, may be inflicted on prisoners of war to secure from them information of any kind whatever. Prisoners of war who refuse to answer may not be threatened, insulted, or exposed to unpleasant or disadvantageous treatment of any kind...

SECTION II INTERNMENT OF PRISONERS OF WAR
CHAPTER I GENERAL OBSERVATIONS

ARTICLE 22
Prisoners of war may be interned only in premises located on land and affording every guarantee of hygiene and healthfulness. Except in particular cases which are justified by the interest of the prisoners themselves, they shall not be interned in penitentiaries...

THE PLEDGE

our pledge of allegiance was around for 62 years without the words "under god." our pledge has had the words for 49 years. let's just call a mulligan and go back.

KILL BILL VOL.2

this movie is as good as advertised. not nearly as violent as vol. 1, kill bill vol.2 plays like a love story. much more moving than one would expect, this film lends weight to a strait beat-em-up premise. all the actors are superb, even the typically awful daryl hannah. carradine makes the film as bill.

A

VAN HELSING

this movie is a hodge-podge of movie monsters that works. a few scenes are obviously and painfully cgi, but for the most part it looks great and doesn't get bogged down with anything put witty dialogue.

B+

ERIK'S PLAN TO GET LAID

from jabooty.org. "Apparently, the "Better than sex" cake is not, as one would be led to believe by the name, better than sex. I have been charged with the task of sleeping with as many people as possible until I find the one person who having sex with is actually worse than that cake. At that time we will change the name of the cake to "Better than sex with _______.""

i like this idea. i hope it works for him.

NO NADER IN TEXAS

ralph nader has failed to get enough signatures to get on the ballot in texas and will not appear on the ballot. this isn't stopping him, though, as he is filing suit against texas for its petition requirements. he has a point: independants have to get roughly 20,000 more votes in 15 less days. that is nuts. if you can get 45,000 people to sign for you, i don't care if you back mass genocide and death to all children, youshould get on the ballot.

ANN COULTER THE DEVIL?

i wouldn't know, but she hates liberals. that's about it. thats what eveything boils down to with her. a brief aside, is bombing all the arabs we can think of better than the ideas she rails against?

BUSH JOINING THE PARTY?

apparently bush has stopped getting his national security updates from cbs news and is asking his staff. you know, the people the president is supposed to listen to. it only took him 4 years. his learning curve is improving!

NEW LOOK

how do you like it?

MORE MOORE

moore defends his honor in this post at his website. disney is nuts. "tower of terror"? that is in awful, awful taste.

ERIK THE LAME

erik bates has a picture of his movie collection up. lame, lame, lame. speed racer, stigmata, and uhf? he needs help

BELTWAY JEOPARDY

jennifer fley was behind the scenes at the "power players" celebrity jeopardy tapings. i must say that al franken sounds like he'd be fun to hang out with.

MORALS AND IRAQ

richard reeves has a good op/ed on the morals behind going to iraq. why is it that bush seems more upset that pictures got than at the act itself? going on television in jordan and almost apologizing seems a bit morally bankrupt to me.
